Short answer
There is no Cartier Aqua Terra. The Aqua Terra is an Omega Seamaster model. Cartier does not sell a watch with that name. The keyword pairs two brands that do not share a product line. Replica listings that use "Cartier Aqua Terra" describe an Omega design under a Cartier label, or a generic copy page built for search traffic.

What Co-Axial Master Chronometer means
Omega introduced the Co-Axial escapement in 1999, based on a design by George Daniels. The escapement uses three pallet jewels and two escape wheels on one arbor. It cuts sliding friction between parts.
Master Chronometer is a certification, not a movement name. METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology, tests each watch. The eight tests include magnetic exposure to 15,000 gauss, rate in six positions, rate across the 0 to 15,000 gauss range, power reserve, water resistance, and daily accuracy of 0/+5 seconds.

What replica versions contain
- Case size: 38 mm, 41 mm, or 43 mm, in 316L or 904L steel.
- Glass: sapphire with anti-reflective coating on some units, mineral glass on others.
- Movement: Miyota 9015, Seagull ST2130, or a Chinese copy of the ETA 2824. Beat rate 28,800 vph. Power reserve near 38 to 42 hours, against 60 hours for the Omega Calibre 8900.
- Dial text: "Co-Axial Master Chronometer" printed on the dial. Print does not equal certification.
- Water resistance: sellers claim 150 m. Few units face a pressure test.
- Certification: no METAS card, no serial in the METAS database, no 15,000 gauss rating.
Cartier lines that exist
Cartier catalogs the Tank, Santos, Ballon Bleu, Panthere, and Pasha. None uses the Aqua Terra name or a Co-Axial escapement. Cartier uses its own calibers, such as the 1847 MC, and does not market METAS Master Chronometer certification.

Buying checklist
- Match the listing to a real reference. If the page says Cartier Aqua Terra, ask which factory model it copies.
- Ask for movement photos, not stock images.
- Confirm case diameter and lug width in millimeters.
- Ask for a pressure test result if water resistance matters.
- Read the return window and warranty terms in writing.
Price ranges: $80 to $180 for entry copies, $250 to $500 for high-grade units with a Miyota or a decorated clone. Genuine Omega Aqua Terra Co-Axial Master Chronometer watches retail from about $5,900 and up, based on size and materials. Genuine Cartier steel watches start near $3,200.
