What the 123.10 reference is
The Omega Constellation 123.10 is a stainless steel men's watch. Omega built the line in the mid-2000s. The reference number carries data. The first three digits, 123, mark the Constellation line. The next two, 10, mark steel. The next two give the case size in millimeters. The next two give the movement code. The last three give the dial variant. Examples include 123.10.35.20.01.001 at 35 mm and 123.10.38.20.01.001 at 38 mm.

What replica versions copy
Most 123.10 replicas use a steel case at 35 mm or 38 mm. They carry a sapphire or mineral crystal and a date window at 3 o'clock. The case sides show the claw shape. The bracelet uses a butterfly or push-button clasp with the Omega logo. The case back opens to show a rotor. Street price runs about $80 to $300, set by movement and finish. Low units use quartz. Mid units use an Asian copy of the ETA 2824. High units use a Swiss ETA 2824 or a decorated Asian 2836.
Where replicas differ from the genuine watch
- The co-axial escapement is not reproduced. A copy uses a standard lever escapement. Beat rate is 28,800 vph on an ETA 2824, not 25,200.
- Clasp stamping is shallow. Engraving depth changes batch to batch.
- Dial printing: the applied Omega logo and the star sit thicker or lower on many copies.
- Case thickness: copies often run 0.5 mm to 1 mm thicker than the genuine case.
- Date font and window bevel differ. Genuine date windows have a small chamfer.
- Case back engravings for serial and reference sit at a different laser depth.
Checks before buying
- Get the case size measured with calipers and ask for the photo.
- Ask for the movement name. "Swiss" alone is not a name.
- Request a photo of the inner clasp stamping.
- Check lug width and end-link fit against the case.
- Look at the date font at 3 o'clock at high zoom.
- Confirm the crystal material. Mineral scratches. Sapphire does not.
- Treat water resistance claims as untested. Most copies skip pressure testing.
What is not known
Replica factories do not publish batch numbers. Two watches shipped in the same month can come from different lines. Omega does not service or authenticate copies. Resale value on a replica is near zero.
