"329" is not an Omega reference number for the Speedmaster line. Omega reference numbers for the Speedmaster run longer, for example 3570.50.00 or 310.30.42.50.01.001. When 329 shows up in a listing title, it is one of three things: a factory or batch code used by the replica trade, a shortened version of a real reference such as 3290.50.00, or a stock number made up by the seller. The listing alone will not tell you which. Ask the seller in writing and keep the reply.

Speedmaster baseline specs

The Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch started in 1957. The current steel model measures 42 mm across, 13.2 mm thick, with a 20 mm lug width. The crystal is either hesalite or sapphire. The movement is manual wind. Older examples use the caliber 1861 with a 48 hour power reserve. The caliber 3861 replaced it and runs 50 hours with Master Chronometer certification.
